Vikings lined up for this first game in the champions cup with a strong 15 squad combining regular sunday, cosmo and vets players. Viking quickly took control of the game and started to play some good football with especially our central midfield and Lars Skov down the right providing chances. However our opening goal only came after a soft penalty were Tommie was pushed in the back and the goal getter converted himself. Minutes later it was has strike partner Stabell who added to score and it was 2-0 Vikings. In the other end Viking were looking strong and were only under threat from a few counter attacks. During the half time break coach Schoennemann changed four players and especially Mike T had a good game of the bench and quickly took the Vikings 3rd. From here the heads of our opponents dropped and they gave up defensively. It finished 7-0 and Viking are now ready to compete in the quarterfinals. Thanks to ref and FC for a good game.
