Tough opening game of the new season on the new Kovan pitch. It was a little bigger than we were used to, so we perhaps didn`t work as hard as we needed to in tracking back.We fell behind early, only to equalise and then let it slip again. To be honest, we were perhaps always just a shade second best but we made silly mistakes at times to make it easier for Raffles.It was a bit of a niggly game and Billie got sent off for two yellows which were more just over zealous challenges than anything dirty. Raffles reacted a little a couple of times but managed to keep the full compliment on the pitch which helped them keep the lead at the end.We`ll get used to the pitch and win games as the season goes on though we have no idea as yet who are in the league!

A heated game between the no 1&2 of last sseason. Both teams were putting full effort in tto get the 3 points.The first half of RR was very strong, they controlled the game and only should have scored more goals. Still unclear what caused the bad start of the second half, maybe it was the (pally) player of the Hibs who was playing eextremely aggressive.With the Hibs scoring a few goals, RR needed tto get focussed again. We did that on time, sscored a few extra goals and secured the win. GGood start of this new season!
