An intruguing and classy match between two football philosophies: the long ball from the Vikings versus the short passing game from the Germans. After a shaky start we got well into the game and a mid-range shot from Valery gave us the lead after 15 minutes.  We subsequently dominated the midfield which allowoed us to ask plenty of questions from the Vikings defense. A counter attack, well orchestrated by Oscar, brought us 2-0 up when Ramon, who had a great game as attacking midfielder, scored. Almost out of nothing the Vikings got back into the game, scoring from a hammer with only seconds to go in the forst half. 2-1 it was at halftime. The second half started once again well as Ramon picked up a nice pass from Dmitry to restore the two goal lead. But what looked like a good cushion to cruise to victory wasn't enough. A controversiual goal (with two players offisde) brought the Vikings back into the game and when they scored the equalizer from a penalty the game was suddenly wide open again. With some key players (Marius, Oscar and Ramon) picking up injuries we were not able to push our opponents back into their half again. However, despite relentless attacks by the Vikings, Valery was unlucky with a freekick by hitting the crossbar. The Vikings scored seconds later for their winner.  Overall, and as said, a great game of football against a strong and plucky Vikings side. We wish them good luck for the rest of the cup competition.
