Our midweek team has had a phenomenally good start to this season where several top league teams have gotten in trouble against us. So we had high hopes against Hibs although losing last time in the previous season and also currently Hibs being undefeated first 5 games of the current season.   Starting lineup   4-5-1 Rahbek Birch - Synnes - Mernild - Nisse Magnus - David - Crouch - Tomas - Dragshag -             Meli     Bench: Buck - Crone - Nagel     Hibs took control of the most ball possession and scored after only 5 minutes of playing time. Vikings equalised fairly quickly from Meli crossing long to Drags who headed the ball in. It was a tough match up in the midfield where Hibs proved very strong physically but also tactically standing the right places making it difficult for Vikings to take any sort of control. It was also after some pressure that a ball was allowed to pass through our penalty box and punished easily by our opponents. Hibs scored one more before halftime due to an unfortunate drop from Rahbek who had in lack of keepers available been designated to that position, and Vikings had their backs against the wall. After a bit of talk about gaining control in midfield and upping the passing game a bit, Vikings came out guns blazing second half. First Meli, flicked ball over opponent around the corner flag, passes next guy down the line towards goal but keeper was ready.  After 20 mins the Meli-Drags duo showed what they can do together. This time drags assisting on Meli who with a flat shot outside box put one in 2-3. It was Tomas, Nagel and Crouch who gained much more midfield control that brought more playing time to Hibs’ court. 10 mins before time, Melismas crossed long and high to Drags who pounded his head to the leather and made the equaliser for Vikings which also lasted until full time.     This was a great match from both sides, strong and physical and very little fuss. Ref pulled a few yellows here and there but all in all a fair match. Vikings are happy with the 1 point and we expect to see a lot more points go to Hibs in this season.   MoM: Tomas   / Cronaldo

A great squad assembled, Vikings started strong and went 1-nil up after 15 mins. Hibs settled and started to control the flow and tempo and were rewarded with a 3-1 advantage at half time. Vikings pushed for the win in the 2nd half by pushing players forward and gradually broke down the hibs defence. Hibs had a few 2nd half chances and probably should have scored at least 1 more. All in all a great game by two very good sides.
